（中央社記者劉得倉曼谷18日專電）泰國衛生部今天晚間指出，泰國出現首起中東呼吸症候群（MERS）病例，是1名75歲的阿曼人，目前正在1家醫院隔離治療中。

泰國衛生部指出，這名來自中東阿曼的病患，他入境泰國後與59人有密切接觸，目前都已經做好必要的監控，以防止更多人感染，目前這名患者被隔離在暖武里地區的醫院特別病房中，接受治療。

泰國衛生部表示，這名阿曼人在出現發燒等症狀後就醫，醫院和衛生機構有所警覺，採取必要隔離措施，並經過兩間實驗室的確認這名患者感染MERS，也對他同班飛機的乘客和搭乘計程車的司機以及家人等密切接觸者，採取監控，防止疫情擴大。

泰國衛生部也提醒民眾，若發現有任何可能是MERS感染者請立即通報，若有前往韓國或中東地區返國不適者更應注意。1040618
